New Delhi: Sri Lanka suffered another blow after pacer Nuwan Pradeep was ruled out of bowling for remainder of the India’s first innings.

Pradeep left the field in pain holding his hamstring after bowling just four deliveries with second new ball on the day 1. The 30-year-old bowled 17.4 overs but failed to pick any Indian wicket.

However, he is likely to bat and his fitness to bowl in the second innings will be assessed later.

Sri Lanka entered the contest with Nuwan Pradeep as the only specialist pacer after his impressive five-for in the first Test match.  His absence will force skipper Chandimal to rely on part-time option of Dimuth Karunaratne.
