T20 World Cup 2024: A pitch invader marked his presence during the India Vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up game, as he rushed onto the pitch to hug Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. However, the US Police acted immediately and two officers rushed onto the pitch to grab hold of the offender. The rigorous manner in which officers handled the guy worried Rohit Sharma a bit and the Indian legend asked the officers to go easy on the pitch invader.
India's Mammoth Win Over Bangladesh In Warm-Up Fixture
India have started their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on a brilliant note as the 'Men in Blue' registered an emphatic 60 run victory over their neighbours Bangladesh in the warm-up fixture and are all set to take on Ireland at the same venue in a span of four days. Rishabh Pant starred in the side's victory with an impressive half-century, and the bowlers did extremely well to defend the target, as a total of eight bowlers were used, and only Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja went wicketless.
"The bowlers did a great job. Shoriful and Rishad bowled well but our batters didn't do a good job. But in the main match, we will do a good job. We are not thinking about what happened before. We know we are a good side and what we are capable of. Shoriful is still in pain and is in hospital. Hopefully, he will be fit soon. We have to prepare well and get ready. All the boys are excited for the first match and we have seven days to prepare," said Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh Captain, in the post match presentation ceremony.
