A Pakistani actress has made a bold promise to go on a date with a Bangladesh cricketer in Dhaka if they manage to defeat India in their upcoming clash of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. In the recent ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 encounter on  October 14 (Saturday), the Men in Green faced an embarrasing defeat at the hands of India, as Rohit Sharma's team secured a comprehensive 7-wicket victory.

Although Pakistan would need to reach at least the semifinals to face India once more, a Pakistani actress named Sehar Shinwari is placing her hopes on Bangladesh to avenge their defeat when they face India on Thursday (October 19) in Pune. Sehar Shinwari took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to make her promise, stating that she would go on a fish dinner date with a Bangladeshi cricketer if their team manages to defeat India.

"InshAllah my Bangali Bandu will avenge us in the next match. I will go to Dhaka and have a fish dinner date with a Bangali boy if their team manages to beat India," Sehar stated in her post on X (formerly Twitter).

Shinwari Not New To Creating Social Media Buzz After IND vs PAK Matches

This is not the first time Shinwari has stirred social media with her words. Back in September, following Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat at the hands of India in the Asia Cup 2023, she posted on X saying she is going to file an FIR against Babar Azam and his men as they have played with their fans’ feelings.

On the cricketing front, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially filed a formal protest to to the International Cricket Council (ICC) on several matters regarding the World Cup 2023 happening in India. The PCB announced this through their social media channels on Tuesday.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023. The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023," the PCB tweeted.

Regarding Pakistan's upcoming matches, Babar Azam's team is set to face Australia next, a side that has won only one of their initial three matches. Pakistan will be eager to get back to winning ways, while the Australians will aim to kickstart an unbeaten streak at this edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
