As the subsequent batsmen scored the following runs – 0, 21, 15, 4, 12, 4 and 3. As you could see, none of the batsmen crossed the 35-run mark and most of the run scoring was left to Mohammed Rizwan who scored a century but had started off pretty slow and sensibly.

South Africa, when came in to bat were off to a good start with Malaan and Hendricks scoring 44 and 54 respectively. But that was about it for the scoring that was done in the SA innings. The other batsmen failed to even cross the 20-run mark. The most shocking was departure of the experienced David Miller’s for just six runs. The victory will come as a boost for Pakistan fans. Rizwan’s performance comes as a big boost for the Pakistan side who for long has been in search of a good opening batsman.

The last over was exciting as SA required 19 runs to win of six balls. SA were in the game even till the last two balls when they required 10 of two and then a boundary by Fortuin brought the equation to six from one. Unfortunately for the Proteas, Fortuin couldn’t hit the ball for a six. The next match would be played on Saturday and South Africa will be looking to win their first game on the tour.
