Pakistan: Wahab Riaz, the Pakistan fast-bowler known for troubling Shane Watson during his fiery spell in the 2015 Cricket World Cup has opened up about his feelings on the Indian Premier League (IPL). He feels that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is second to the IPL in terms of 'drafting the tournament' and 'running methods'

"IPL is on a different level", said Wahab Riaz while making a comparison between IPL and PSL. He said this during an interview with the YouTube channel, Cricket Pakistan. He said: "All the international players are available for the Indian Premier League, You can't really compare IPL and PSL. I think IPL is on a different level. Their commitment, the way they run the tournament, their drafting methods. That is totally different. There is no match for IPL." The cricketer redeemed himself by saying that PSL is second-best. "But if there is any cricket league after the IPL, then that is PSL. PSL has proven that" he said.

"PSL has proven time and again that the bowling strength it has is the best in the world. Not even IPL has that level of bowling strength," the cricketer added.

Wahab's famous spell from WC 2015

Wahab Riaz also praised the retired Pakistani fast-bowler, Mohammed Amir. Amir recently hinted that he might be available to play in the IPL once he gets his British Citizenship. He also praised the Pakistan captain and world no.1 Batsman, Babar Azam. He said, "Babar's performances speak for themselves. His thought process, his commitment, his passion, are laudable. Captainship was new for him, but there's a huge improvement in him. I wish him all the best for the future."

In the interview, Riaz said that he believed Pakistan's fast-bowling is still the best in world cricket.
