Sri Lanka posted a competitive 147-run total  against Pakistan in the third and final T20 international being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The batting efforts for Sri Lanka were led by debutant Oshada Fernando, who top scored with a belligerent 78 knock off just 48 deliveries.

After Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bat first, the visitors got off to a horrendous start losing both their openers cheaply. Pakistan bowlers made early inroads into the Sri Lankan top order by dismissing both the openers Danushka Gunathilaka and Sadeera Samarawickrama in quick succession.

Left arm seamer Mohammad Amir produced a peach of a delivery to get rid of Bhanuka Rajapaksa. With the Lankans tottering at 30 for 3, Oshane Fernando then combined with Angelo Perera to stage a brief recovery but a needless mix up led to Angelo Perera being run out.

Oshada then stepped up the ante with a flurry of strokes all round the part and registered a breezy partnership with skipper Dasun Shanaka to help the Sri Lankans post a competitive 147 run total. With Pakistani bowlers chipping in with regular wickets, Fernando held one end tight and kept piling on the runs with some lusty hitting.

Sri Lanka have already won the 3-match series 2-0 by coming out victorious against Pakistan in the first two encounters played at Karachi and Lahore respectively.
