While talking to the press on the eve of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2021, Virat Kohli said that he had no idea about what is happening with the appointment of the head coach of the Indian cricket team.

There were reports on Saturday claiming that Rahul Dravid's name has been finalised after a key meeting with Secretary Jay Shah and President Sourav Ganguly in Dubai after the IPL final.

Speaking to the reporters in UAE, Kohli said: "No idea exactly what's happening on that front. No detailed discussion with anyone yet."

While there is a buzz about Rahul Dravid joining the Indian team, Virat Kohli's reaction was rather cold. Perhaps, the Indian captain is trying to stay away from giving away any information before it is made official.

Kohli and Dravid have played together in the Royal Challengers Bangalore side in the IPL.

As reported earlier, Rahul Dravid's coaching stint with team India can begin with the series against New Zealand starting on November 17. It was also reported that Paras Mhambrey, Dravid's trusted partner might be India's bowling coach. There hasn't been any decisions on India's fielding coach.

Dravid was associated with India on a couple of occasions. He was present as a batting consultant in England 2014 Test series, while in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka, he was part of the team as head coach.
