New Delhi: South African cricket team, after facing a shambolic defeat against hosts New Zealand in the 1st Test at Christchurch last week, bounced back on the back of a great performance in the second Test and are on the verge of victory to level the series 1-1. South Africa, on the other hand, needs a miracle to avoid defeat.
Meanwhile, on the fourth day of the SA vs NZ Test match, Kiwi player Will Young showcased remarkable athleticism to complete a sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Marco Jansen off Colin de Grandhomme's delivery. What made the catch more special was Young taking the stunner while running near the boundary and making sure to avoid any sort of contact with the rope.
South Africa's team's score was 219/6 when Young dived down on his shoulder to take the catch with his left hand and give his team significant 'much-needed' success. Watch the viral video here.
Ex-New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming, who was commentating in this match, said, "It is very sensational work. A sensational piece of cricket, what a wonderful catch." West Indies legend Ian Bishop tweeted, "Difficult to beat this catch in 2022. This is amazing."
After four days of play, New Zealand is reeling at 94//4 at stumps on Day 4. They need to chase down a mammoth target of 332 runs on the fifth and final day to win the three-match Test series against South Africa.
