New Zealand T20 World Cup 2024 Squad: New Zealand revealed their 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean and the United States slated to start from June 2. In doing so, the Black Caps became the first team to announce the squad for the upcoming marquee event. Kane Williamson will be the captain of the squad, with Devon Conway also earning a place despite being sidelined from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024 due to a thumb injury.
All-rounder Michael Bracewell makes a notable return, having recently captained the Black Caps in the five-match T20 series against Pakistan following a nine-month injury hiatus. Despite withdrawing from the contract list, senior pacer Trent Boult also finds himself included in the squad.

Adam Milne, Tim Seifert Miss Out
The squad also includes Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner,Ish Sodhi, and Matt Henry. Notably absent are Adam Milne and Tim Seifert. New Zealand have opted to rely on Devon Conway as the sole wicketkeeping option, even as he continues to recover from his hand injury. Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Rachin Ravindra, Lockie Ferguson and all-rounder Jimmy Neesham are also included in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad of New Zealand. Young pacer Ben Sears, who has played 17 T20Is for New Zealand, will travel with the squad as a reserve.
New Zealand, led by Michael Bracewell, tied the recently-contested five-match T20I series against Pakistan 2-2 in Pakistan. With the first match getting washed out by rain, New Zealand lost the second PAK vs NZ T20I and then won the next two matches before losing the fifth T20I, tying the series 2-2.
