The fixture for the 2023 ODI World Cup has been announced on Tuesday by the International Cricket Council. The tournament will begin from October 5 where defending champions England will take on New Zealand in Ahmedabad.  The two-time losing finalists New Zealand after opening their ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against defending champions England, will face the first team from the qualifiers on October 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 


Blackcaps' third match will be against Bangladesh in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on October 14, and then they will be taking on Afghanistan at the same venue on October 18. The Kiwis who are still struggling with the fitness of skipper Kane Williamson, will lock horns with India at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on October 22 and will stay there only to lock horns against five-time winners Australia in their next match that is slated to take place for October 28. The New Zealand-South Africa match will be played on November 1 at the MCA Stadium in Pune, and their last two matches will be held in Bengaluru on November 4 and 9 against Pakistan and the second team from the qualifiers.


India vs Pakistan match will be played on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata are the 10 venues selected by the ICC to organize the premiere event. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram alongside Hyderabad will conduct the practice matches from 29 September to 3 October.
