Logan Van Beek, a key player for the Netherlands in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, added a personal touch to his India tour by welcoming his mother and wife to India where the tournament is being played. Van Beek, who has been instrumental in the Dutch side's performances so far with 12 wickets in seven matches, orchestrated a warm reception for his family at a hotel in Pune ahead of the team's last game against England, giving a Bollywood touch to the reception.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, Van Beek shared glimpses of the special moment. Dressed in a traditional Indian outfit, he chose the title track from the Bollywood film 'Welcome' for the event. Expressing his joy at reuniting with his "two most important women", Van Beek thanked for facilitating the welcome.

The cricketer shared his excitement in the caption, noting that he hadn't seen his family for almost three months due to cricket commitments. Van Beek arranged bouquets of flowers and a portable speaker, creating a festive atmosphere with the 'Welcome' song. The video captures the emotional reunion as Van Beek's wife, Elitsa, stepped out of a cab and shared a tight hug with her husband. The couple then danced to the beats of the background song, creating a delightful scene. The hotel staff also honored Van Beek's family with bouquets.

Van Beek's wife and mother attended the Netherlands' penultimate World Cup game against England at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Despite a promising start by the Dutch bowling unit, England posted a formidable 329 runs, with Ben Stokes contributing a century and Dawid Malan making significant contributions.

In the chase, the Netherlands struggled against England's strong bowling, managing only 179 runs. Teja Nidamanuru was the only batter to cross the 40-run mark. Following this defeat, the Netherlands occupies the bottom of the points table with 4 points and is set to face hosts India in their final game on November 12.
