Munavar Faruqui, the winner of the reality show Big Boss winner and a well known standup comedian, showcased his surprising cricket skills in the inaugural match of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) on Wednesday, leaving his fans in awe and showcasing another dimension of his personality. Faruqui, playing for team Khiladi XI, made a significant impact by dismissing none other than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar during the special match held after the ISPL opening ceremony at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane.

In a surprising turn of events, the 32-year-old emerged as the unexpected hero in the opening match of ISPL, claiming the wicket of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Bowling medium pace for team Khiladi XI, Faruqui executed a wide delivery outside off-stump that led to Tendulkar attempting a shot towards the fine-leg. However, Tendulkar, a veteran of 200 Test matches, ended up top-edging the ball, getting caught at gully by Naman Ojha. The crowd present at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane erupted in excitement as Faruqui achieved this remarkable feat in the 5th over of the match.

Faruqui's impact didn't end with the wicket of Tendulkar. In the 7th over, he displayed his fielding prowess by taking a catch to dismiss Yusuf Pathan, off the bowling of actor Prateik Babbar. Pathan contributed 21 runs to the Master's 11 total, which reached 95 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs.
