Notably, Dhoni lifted his fifth IPL trophy as a captain when CSK defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the wee hours of Tuesday (May 30). With this he is now the captain with the most number of IPL titles to his credit along with Rohit Sharma who has also led Mumbai Indians (MI) to five titles. This was a truly remarkable campaign for Chennai who had finished ninth last season but came back to emerge as the champions this year.
