MS Dhoni may be a retired international cricketer but there is hardly any dip in the crazy about him in the cricket-crazy country of India. The ex-India captain only plies his trade in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he captains the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and is not that active on social media either, however while making an appearance at an event, Dhoni was asked several questions where he give candid answers. During the conversation, he also recalled a hilarious incident.
Before going on to play for India, Dhoni accepted a job offer from the Indian Railways and was posted at Kharagpur in West Bengal. He recalled how he picked up the Bengali language when he stayed there and can still understand the language if someone speaks it around him. This fact, however, was unknown to the Bangladeshi players. While the Bangladesh keeper instructed their pacer to bowl a particular delivery, Dhoni, understanding what he had said was ready for it. Only after the match from Dhoni's reaction did the Bangladeshi players realise that he understood Bengali.
The clip where he narrated the incident has gone viral on social media.
