Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been creating an impact on the cricket field. He has set unbelievable records and now he has set a huge milestone off the field as well.


The Indian wicketkeeper has become the highest taxpayer in his state, Jharkhand, for the financial year 2017-18. Dhoni paid a huge amount of Rs 12.17 crore income tax last fiscal which is the highest income tax paid by an individual in the Bihar and Jharkhand region.


As per media reports, Dhoni paid Rs 10.93 crore as income tax in the previous fiscal year, in 2016-17. However, he was not the highest taxpayer in that fiscal. This time has gone past his previous amount by Rs 1.24 crore more and thus, set a record.


MS Dhoni is the third-highest earning cricketer in India after Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, stated Forbes. The magazine has listed him among the celebrities with highest earnings in 2017. He was placed at No.8 in the country with estimated earnings of Rs. 63.7 crore.


Apart from his services to the Indian cricket, Dhoni owns an apparel line SEVEN, which was launched in 2017. He also co-owns the Chennayin FC football franchise in the Indian Super League and joint owner of Ranchi Rays franchise in the Hockey India League.
