Most Sixes In Test: Tim Southee frustrated India in New Zealands' first innings against India in the first Test match of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, it was not his bowling that troubled India as much as his batting lower down the order. While India were bowled out for 46 in the first innings, Southee only managed to get one wicket of the 10 to fall.

But on Day 3 as India looked to crawl their way back into the match with four wickets in quick succession, Southee along with Rachin Ravinrdra added 137 runs from 132 balls for the eighth wicket, helping himself to a half-century and eventually playing a key role in Kiwis posting 402 in the first innings. During the course of his knock, Southee also went past Virender Sehwag who holds the Indian record for smashing the most sixes in Test cricket.

Southee smashed 4 sixes in his 65 off 73, taking his overall sixes tally past 91 which was the number of sixes that Sehwag smashed in the game's longest format.
