Rachin Ravindra has slammed a hundred on his return to to Bengaluru in New Zealands's first Test against India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. On Day 3 of the series opener, India scalped four wickets and seemed to be crawling their way back into the match after being bowled out for 46 in the first innings. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja were the wicket-takers for India. However, Ravindra counterattacked and remains unbeaten on 104 off 125 balls with Tim Southee even being not out on 49 off 50. 


The two of them have already added 112 runs off 97 balls for the eighth wicket to take New Zealand's score to 345/7, taking their lead to 299 runs at Lunch on Day 3. The Ravindra-Southee stand happens to be the the second-fastest century partnership in Tests against India.

Rishabh Pant Not Keeping Wickets For India


Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is not keeping wickets for India on Day 3. After sustaining an injury while keeping the wickets on Day 2, Pant left the field with Dhrub Jurel filling in for him The Indian cricket board provided an update that he will not be keeping the wickets on Day 3 with Jurel continuing to be their gloveman.

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma had said that it was a precautionary measure to keep Pant out of action. He remained optimistic of his quick recovery but with seven Test matches to go after this, the Men in Blue would not like to take too many chances with the stumper.
