Mitchell Starc has the upper hand in his face-offs with Yashasvi Jaiswal, having dismissed the young Indian opener twice in their three encounters. Jaiswal's scores against Starc have been 0, 51, and 0, with the Australian pacer bowling a total of 78 balls to him across three innings.
In their most recent clash on Day 1 of IND vs AUS Adelaide Test, Starc bowled a brilliant in-swinger that caught Jaiswal off guard, seaming back into him and leaving him stuck at the crease. Unlike a typical caught-in-front dismissal, Jaiswal was caught out by the sharp delivery.

Did Starc have a special plan to get rid of Jaiswal? The premier fast-bowler says no.
"At the stumps, hit the pads. That's it. Nothing special." Starc revealed to ICC after day 1's play in Adelaide Test.
"That's been my role for a while: to attack the stumps and try and make early inroads. Pleased to sneak one past today. We know how important it is to make early inroads into this batting lineup. It's always a nice way to start. It is a big Test match; it’s a big series," the veteran added.
