Madhya Pradesh Vs Karnataka: The Match 10 of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore has constantly been hampered by bad weather, as persistent rain and bad light has led to suspension of play on Day 3.

Madhya Pradesh have so far played merely 140 overs over the course of 3 days, a time period that, on an average, had minimum 270 overs to be bowled. That means, almost 50% of the play has been suspended by rain, and these are not good signs for a side, who aim at starting their season with a win.

Both sides are former champions and registered historic triumphs in recent years, and will be aiming to regain the supremacy from Mumbai, who are the reigning champions of the tournament. 16 matches are going at the same time, as all the 32 teams are in-action.

Only two results have come up so far, with Railways beating Chandigarh by 181 runs; and Haryana beating Bihar by an innings and 43 runs.

Stumps Called On Day 3; Day 4 To Witness Revised Playing Hours

As no further play was possible due to constant rain, umpires have decided to call Stumps on Day 3. Day 4 will have revised playing sessions, as a minimum of 98 overs will be bowled on Monday.

Have a look at session-by-session breakdown of Day 4's play:

  • First session: 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Second session: 12:40 PM to 03:10 PM

  • Third session: 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM

If needed, there is a scope for an extension of play in the last session, but the risk of rain of Day 4 still looms.
