Die hard Indian fans who are yet to come to terms with India's heartbreaking loss to New Zealand in the semi-final match of 2019 World Cup have come out in support of former captain MS Dhoni who along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored gritty half tons to take in striking distance of winning the nail biting encounter at Old Trafford,

India fell short by 18 runs in their semifinal encounter against New Zealand to crash out of the marquee event.

One of the biggest turnarounds which happened in the semis was the run-out of MS Dhoni inflicted by Martin Guptill. While former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was walking back to the pavilion, he seemed to get teary eyed.

While in the heat of the moment, a lot of fans took to social media to criticize Mahi for his show of emotions, MSD's fans came out in large numbers after the match and took to Twitter to appeal the legend to be proud of all his years of service and how he had contributed significantly to Indian cricket over the years.
