After a humiliating series defeat to England, Australia have slipped to sixth position in the latest ICC ODI ranking.

The five-time world champions now find themselves behind Pakistan with 101 rating points. They lost four points in this ODI series. Australia slipped to the sixth spot for the first time in more than three decades.

The Tim Paine-led side is seven points ahead of Bangladesh, who have 93 rating points in their kitty.

England, on the other hand, have consolidated their position at the top and compensated on their surprising loss against Scotland in the one-off ODI. The stunning performance against Australia has earned them three points, taking their tally to 126 points, four more than second-placed India.

India will have to produce a similar kind of performance like England did against Australia if they have to stand a chance of returning back to the top of ICC ODI ranking.

India will take on England in the 50-over format in July and only a 3-0 clean sweep will see them reclaim the world No.1 position.
