Indian spin king Kuldeep Yadav wished his cricketing idol Shane Warne on his 50th birthday, reiterating his admiration for the Australian spin legend whom he considers his inspiration.

“Sending my best wishes to a person who was a source of inspiration in my cricketing career. Wishing you good health, happiness and joy always. Happy Birthday,” Kuldeep said in a tweet.

The 24-year-old chinaman bowler shared a picture of him and Warne alongwith the tweet. Kuldeep has previously expressed his love for Warne and has time and again said that he is the reason that he (Kuldeep) took to the sport.

Warne, widely hailed by the cricketing fraternity as the best spinner of all time, turned 50 on Friday. The Aussie spin maestro is the second highest wicket taker in Test cricket with a whopping 708 scalps in just 145 Test matches.

Kuldeep who has been India's front-line spinner in the limited overs format has shown his pedigree in the longer format of the game too. After making headwinds on the limited overs arena by becoming the second  fastest Indian to reach the 50-ODI wicket milestone, Yadav has bagged 24 wickets in just Test for India, donning the whites.

The left arm tweaker is part of India’s test squad that will take on South Africa next month.
