KL Rahul, the Indian wicketkeeper, took to social media four days after India's defeat to Australia in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final, expressing his emotions about the loss. He shared his ongoing pain, stating the hurt as still lingering, accompanied by three photos from the final clash with the Indian men's cricket team.

Rahul took to social media to express his sorrow, highlighting the pain of the loss, stating, "still hurts... 💔". He shared this sentiment on 'X' alongside three photos capturing moments from the final clash with the Indian men's cricket team.

Despite emerging as India's top-scorer in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final, Rahul faced criticism for his slow-paced innings in Ahmedabad. Scoring 66 runs from 107 balls, he encountered scrutiny for playing 49 dot balls while accumulating 52 singles and five doubles.

India showcased exceptional cricket throughout the World Cup, securing 10 consecutive victories before succumbing in the title match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, disappointing over a lakh home fans.

Kuldeep Yadav, Rahul's teammate, echoed the sentiments of enduring anguish from India's World Cup final loss to Australia, noting it as motivation to strive harder for future opportunities.

"Our journey from Chennai to Ahmedabad ended in a disappointing result, but we take pride in our achievements over the six weeks. Despite the pain, we're determined to work harder for the next opportunity," Kuldeep expressed on 'X'.

"While the pain of defeat lingers, we must move forward; life continues, and healing takes time. The Cup was beautiful, but it seems God had other plans. Navigating this moment, it's time to switch off and recharge. Dealing with this setback is tough, but we hold onto faith, believing in the journey ahead," he said.

Post India’s loss in the final match, many players, including Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, were spotted crying on the field. And now, four days after that heartbreaking loss, wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul has come up with a post to give his first reaction to the defeat.
