Indian cricket team has been dealt two significant setbacks ahead of IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag, scheduled to begin from Friday (February 2) onwards in Visakhapatnam. Star Indian players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been ruled out of IND vs ENG 2nd Test due to injuries, posing challenges for the team as they prepare for the crucial match against England, especially after shock defeat in the series opener in Hyderabad. England are 1-0 up in five-match IND vs ENG Test series.

Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury during play on Day 4 of IND vs ENG 1st Test in Hyderabad, while KL Rahul complained of discomfort in his right quadriceps. These injuries have forced both senior players to be sidelined for the upcoming IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam.

The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring the progress of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul as they recuperate from their respective injuries. The Men's Selection Committee has bolstered India's squad by adding Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar.

The selectors have recognized the outstanding performances of uncapped players Sarfaraz Khan and Sourabh Kumar in India A matches by awarding them maiden call-ups to the national squad.

On the back of 'Player of the Match' Sarfaraz Khan's remarkable knock (161 runs off 160 balls, 18 4s & 5 6s), India A defeated England Lions by an innings and 16 runs in the 4-day unofficial Test at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
