KL Rahul on MS Dhoni: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has rejoined Team India as their mentor for the T20 World Cup 2021. Dhoni has joined Team India and is making the players practice hard for the ongoing tournament. Team India players are quite happy with Dhoni's presence in the dressing room. Captain Virat Kohli had said that Dhoni's arrival has boosted the team's morale to a great extent.

After Kohli, opener KL Rahul has also commented on Dhoni's arrival in the team. He said, "Dhoni's arrival has boosted the team morale and bought a sense of calm to the players." KL Rahul has expressed keenness to learn a lot from the former Indian captain. Team India would begin their campaign in this tournament by playing against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on October 24. In a 'Redbull Clubhouse Session', KL Rahul said, "None of us were able to believe that the IPL 2021 final was Dhoni's last match. I wanted to see Dhoni play for longer. It was good to see Chennai Super Kings win the IPL tournament this year. Dhoni definitely deserved this win."

'It's amazing to have Dhoni with us here':

Rahul further said, "We are very happy to have Dhoni back with us. We have played under his leadership. We have always seen him as our mentor, even when he was our captain. When Dhoni was our captain, we often used to notice how calm he was in the dressing room. His calmness helped us keep calm. It is wonderful to have him back in the team as our mentor."

On Dhoni's fitness, Rahul said "I think he can give anyone of us a run for our money. He is definitely the one who can hit the ball the farthest. He is very strong and still good between the wickets."

India won their practice match in the T20 World Cup. On Monday, Team India beat England by 7 wickets. Rahul scored 51 runs in this match while Ishan Kishan played a great innings and scored 70 runs.
