If he manages to take just 3 wickets in IND vs BAN 1st Test match, he will script history by becoming the 10th bowler to reach over 400 wickets for India. To date, Bumrah has claimed 159 wickets in 36 Test matches, 149 wickets in 89 ODIs, and 89 wickets in 70 T20Is.

BCCI decided not to appoint a vice-captain for India's 1st Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. Bumrah, who was the vice-captain during the England Test series, has not been given the role for this series.
