Jasprit Bumrah, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024's Player Of The Tournament, received a grand welcome in Ahmedabad after he returned home post starring in the team's victorious World Cup campaign. Bumrah fetaured in the team's open-bus roadshow in Mumbai followed by a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede ceremony where the team was handed over a Rs 125-crore cheque, the prize money which was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for their incredible performance.
Bumrah and Team India landed in Mumbai after their meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official residence in New Delhi. The team had an interaction session with PM Modi where he asked questions to every member of India's playing contingent.

Finally when Bumrah got to reach home, he was given a hero's welcome, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

"I feel really proud learning the fact that I always end up helping my team, dragging a win out of a tense situation. This ends up boosting my confidence and I often carry that confidence ahead into the fixtures. Even during the tournament (T20 World Cup 2024), I was tasked to help out my team in tense situations, and I am happy that I ended up doing so and helping India win," Bumrah said during his interaction with PM Modi.

Bumrah not only picked 15 wickets in the tournament but conceded 4.17 runs per over. With South Africa needing 30 to win off 30 balls, Bumrah produced 12 magnificent deliveries, conceding 6 runs and picking up a wicket and playing a pivotal role in helping India win the titular contest and end nation's drought of a world title.
