It hasn't all gone according to the plan for Team India during the first Test match of the five-match series against England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. While India did look the dominant side after they bowled England out for 246 in the first innings and then scored 436, the Three Lions, however, scored 420 in the first innings which saw a few sessions where the Indian side were clearly outplayed.

Ollie Pope was the leading run-scorer for England and made 196. He made the best use of a reprieve given to him with his catch going down shortly after he had crossed the 100-run mark and made the Indians pay. However, on Sunday morning which was the fourth day of the Test match, Bumrah seemed to have been frustrated and lost his calm and in the 81st over of England's second innings batting when Pope was looking to take a leg bye, Bumrah moved towards his right and seemingly shoulder barged the England batter.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media:

Pope, Bumrah Get Involved In A Exchange

Post the incident, Pope and Bumrah did get involved in an exchange of words. However, it was India captain that intervened to cool down the situation and get the game going. Having said the England star was clearly rattled at Bumrah's gesture and it would be interesting to see if the match referee does consider intervening in the situation. Pope's 196 has helped England post a challenging target of 231 runs for India.

Only handful of Test matches have been won by a side chasing in excess of over 200 in the fourth innings of a Test match in India which suggests that it would require a special effort from the hosts to go 1-0 up in the five-match series.
