Veteran Indian bowler Ishant Sharma added another feather in his cap during the 4th Test against England at The Rose Bowl cricket ground in Southampton. The 29-year-old speedster completed 250 wickets in Test cricket after dismissing English skipper Joe Root.

Ishant reached this feat in the 152nd inning of the 86th match of his Test career. The incident happened during the 8th over of the match when the English skipper was beaten by an inswinger from Ishant. Root walked back to the pavilion after scoring mere 4 runs and England were reduced to 15/2.

Ishant has now become the third Indian fast bowler to clinch 250 or more Test wickets. Former Indian skipper and all-rounder Kapil Dev tops the charts with 434 wickets which he scalped in 131 Test matches.

Zaheer Khan, the former Indian bowler, is the second name on the list who has 311 wickets under his belt.

Earlier today, England won the toss and opted to bat first. The Indian pace attack yet again haunted the English top-order as they clinched 4 wickets within a score of 36 runs.

India made a terrific comeback in Nottingham as they defeated the hosts by 203 runs. In order to keep their chances alive in this series, they have to win this game and equalise the rubber 2-2.
