Sarfraz Khan 100, Irani Cup 2024: Mumbai wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Khan has scored an emphatic ton in the ongoing Irani Cup 2024 fixture of Mumbai vs Rest of India, as the side are 338/6 at Lunch on Day 2.

The 26-year-old has enjoying his prime years in domestic circuit for past couple of years and after years of hardwork, he finally managed to earn his Test debut earlier this year, where he scored 3 fifties and scored 200 runs throughout the series at an average of 50.00 across 5 innings.

Mumbai Captain Ajinkya Rahane Misses Out On Century; Gets Dismissed On 97

Indian veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane played an exceptional knock of 97, as he was unlucky on missing out on a memorable century. Mumbai were reeling at 37/3 when Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer came out to bat, and the duo took the matter into their own hands by registering a 102-run stand before the latter's dismissal to Yash Dayal.

Rahane was joined by Sarfaraz Khan out there in the middle and the duo managed to put up yet another 100-run+ stand for the reigning Ranji Trophy cahmpions.

The Mumbai captain's resilience finally came to an end at the hands of Yash Dayal, as he was dismissed three runs short off his century, but his 97-run knock lasted 234 balls, which included 7 fours and 1 six.

The likes of Tanush Kotian, Sarfaraz Khan, Shardul Thakur can help the side reach the 500-run mark, as they will be needing a huge total to put Rest of India under pressure, as the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side have the likes of Abimanyu Easwaran, Sai Sudarshan, Dhruv Jurel, and Manav Suthar in their ranks who can play vital knocks to tilt the match in their favour.
