Even though it's still just 2 sets down at the IPL 2023 Mini-Auction. It looks like we have the most expensive purchases of this auction. The capped all-rounders was the most talked about set even before the start of the auction and teams did break their banks to include players on this list.

Consequently, Sam Curran, Cameron Green and Ben Stokes became the three most expensive purchases ever at an IPL auction. Interestingly, the three came at the auction in the same order and perhaps that had a role to play as Curran was the costliest, going at 18.5 Crores to Punjab Kings, followed by Cameron Green who was roped in by the Mumbai Indians for 17.5 Crores while Ben Stokes went for 16.25 Crore to Chennai Super Kings.

The fourth and the fifth most expensive players at the IPL 2023 Mini-Auction so far are Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal who were both purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad at 13.25 and 8.25 Crore respectively.

Uncapped Indian fast bowler Mukesh Kumar sold for 5.5 Crore at IPL 2023 Mini Auction

Meanwhile, Bengal speedster Mukesh Kumar became the most expensive uncapped Indian cricketer at the IPL 2023 Auction. He was included by the Delhi Capitals in their team for 5.50 Crore. Notably, Mukesh had a great run with the India A squad and had even earned an India call-up without playing an IPL match for the home ODI series against South Africa when some of the India players were in Australia for the T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Shivam Mavi was bought by the Gujarat Titans for 6 crore. Another uncapped India pacer, Mavi is not new to IPL but injury and form issues forced KKR to release him. This time he would be eager to make full use of this opportunity with the defending champions.
