Ahead of the IPL 2020 Qualifier against Delhi Capitals (DC) scheduled later on Thursday evening at Dubai, Mumbai Indians premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that the he was happy over the fact that the four time IPL champions had played well so far in the tournament and hopes that his side will win clinch the coveted IPL title in the UAE.

Pandya added that after faring really well in the league stage of the season, it was time to replicate the efforts in the crunch games in the play-offs and hoped that MI can lift their fifth IPL crown.

The hard hitting middle order batsman said that Mumbai Indians started off pretty well this season and were not the typical slow starters they have known to be over the years in the IPL. The seam allrounder was happy with the work he had put into his batting and was happy to bat at any position as per the team's requirements.

In a video posted by Mumbai Indians on their social media handle, this is what Pandya had to say

"The boys have played fantastically, can't ask for more. We've been kind of slow starters always but touchwood this year has been a good ride so far. Working on my batting, and things are coming pretty well. It's a matter of opportunity and it's about what the team requires when I go to bat," Hardik Pandya said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians.

"So far it's looking good and I am just happy that we all are able to contribute in a way that everyone is chipping in at the right time. We're getting the desired results as well. Now the crunch-time comes, the best leg of the league, and hopefully, we can get the cup," Pandya added.

Mumbai Indians topped the round robin stage in the ongoing edition of the IPL Season 13 with ten wins and became the first team to book their place in the play-offs.

On account of finishing the league stage in IPL 2020 at the very top, defending champs MI will get two chances of making the semifinals. They take on Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 of the play-offs later in the evening at Dubai. A win for Rohit Sharma and Co. will take them into the finals.
