KL Rahul re-wrote the record books in the Indian Premier League as he registered the highest score by an Indian batsman during his belligerent 132-run knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Game 6 of the IPL 2020 played at Dubai.

Rahul scored a blistering ton to power his team to a herculean 206-run total and set the platform for a massive 97-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. His whirlwind ton which also happened to be his second in the IPL was laced with seven sixes and fourteen fours.

Rahul's unbeaten 132 against RCB surpasses Rishabh Pant's 128-run knock for Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad as the highest individual score by an Indian batsman in the IPL.

Rahul also brought up 2000 runs in the IPL and surpassed batting legend Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest to achieve the feat in the T20 league.

Rahul who opened the batting with Mayank Agarwal got the team off to a fiery start putting on 57-run for the opening wicket. Rahul scored at a fair ticking stitching partnerships with both Agarwal and Nicholas Pooran.

After Glen Maxwell departed, Rahul changes gears completely and unleashed a brutal carnage on the RCB seamers towards the end of the innings. Rahul was particularly severe on Proteas pacer Dale Steyn as he smashed him to all corners of the park in Dubai.

Rahul had a bit of fortune going his way as he was dropped twice by RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who spilled two easy catches by his own high fielding standards.
