Virender Sehwag, former cricketer of Team India, remains in the discussion most of the time even after retiring from all forms of the game. Veeru often speaks with utmost ease and his comments/opinions are often stingy. Recently, Sehwag had mentioned five flop cricketers from the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in his show 'Veeru ki Baithak'.
In his show, he called Glenn Maxwell, the Australian all-rounder playing for Kings XI Punjab, as a '10 crores cheerleader' and also said that he felt that the Aussie great had come on a 'very expensive paid vacation'. In IPL 2020, Maxwell was able to score just 103 runs off 13 matches. Now Maxwell has responded to this comment from the fiery Indian opener.

IPL 2020: KXIP Star All-rounder Glenn Maxwell Reacts To Sehwag's '10 Crore Cheerleader' Jibe!
Reacting to Sehwag's '10 Crore Cheerleader' comment, Maxwell said that he is not surprised at all by Sehwag's comment. He said that this is not the first time Sehwag, a former cricketer and mentor of Kings XI Punjab, has expressed his disappointment with him. He said," It’s ok. Viru is pretty outspoken with his dislike of me, and that’s fine. He’s allowed to say whatever he likes. He’s in the media for such statements, so that’s fine. I deal with that and move on, and take it with a grain of salt with Sehwag,” the West Australian quoted Maxwell as saying.
“I think I’m better equipped with dealing with those sorts of things now. In hindsight it was a pretty good time to go through something like that where I was able to put some groundwork in to deal with adversity. This year has certainly been a massive test of it. To be able to help people through different times of tough periods and be able to help myself through those tough periods has been really key as well.”

IPL 2020: Glen Maxwell's Dismal Form For Kings XI Punjab In IPL 13
IPL 2020 was a bad one for Maxwell, with Kings XI Punjab losing six matches in a row. Maxwell failed to emerge as the star performer in any match this season. The most shocking thing this season was that Maxwell could not hit a single six. Maxwell performed extremely poorly in IPL 2020. He scored just 108 runs in 13 matches at an average of 15.42. However, now Glenn Maxwell has another chance to prove himself against Team India in the upcoming tour.
Kings XI Punjab once again failed to reach the playoffs and finished sixth in the IPL 2020 points table. The KL Rahul-skippered team lost six from the first seven matches and then joined the race for the play-offs after winning five gams in a row. KXIP needed to win their final league match against Chennai Super Kings to reach the playoffs but they could not do so and hence their journey in IPL 2020 ended.
