Third-placed Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with table toppers Mumbai Indians (MI) in 51st Match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) scheduled to be played later on Saturday afternoon at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

The MI vs DC encounter which happens to be the first of the weekend double headers is slated to commence at 3:30 pm (IST) and the toss is scheduled to take place at 3:00 pm (IST).

While 4-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have already qualified for the play-offs, Delhi Capitals (DC) will look to upset the table leaders Mumbai Indians (MI) and inch closer to a knockout berth.

Delhi Capitals need to beat Mumbai Indians to keep their play-off hopes alive and stay in contention as KXIP, KKR and SRH are very much in the race to make it to the knockouts. A slip up could see one of KKR, RR and KXIP leapfrogging them to one of the spots in knockouts.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians come into the encounter at the back of loss to Rajasthan Royals. Similarly, Delhi too lost their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians' good run in the tournament has come on the back of their batsmen faring well as a collective batting unit with all their frontline batsmen Quinton de Kock, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav scoring runs consistently to contribute to their team's wins.

MI bowling unit has complimented the efforts of the batting unit by chipping in with wickets and choking the opponents by bowling well in critical junctures.

MI's seam trio of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult have been in rich wicket taking form and the support cast of James Pattinson, Kieron Pollard have backed the new ball bowlers well.

MI spinners Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya have pegged back the opposition with important wickets in the middle overs. While MI skipper Rohit Sharma's fitness remains a major concern, Kieron Pollard has been leading the side well in the absence of their seasoned skipper.

Delhi Capitals have been one of the most consistent teams along with MI and RCB in the tournament during the first half of the tournament.

However, Delhi Capitals batting has faltered many a times during their recent set of matches with only Shikhar Dhawan notching up decent scores. The inconsistent form of Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane and Shimron Hetmyer has been a major cause of worry.

With the exception of the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals bowling has generally fired on all cylinder with the South African seam duo of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada proving lethal in their opening spells and at the death too.

The DC spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel have bowled well in tandem to choke the opposition from scoring runs freely.
