Second-placed Delhi Capitals will lock horns with fourth-spot Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 42nd round robin assignment of the ongoing Indian Premier League Season 13 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi later on Saturday evening.
The DC vs KXIP game is scheduled to commence at 3:30 pm (IST) with the toss slated to be held at 3:00 pm (IST).
While Delhi Capitals with 14 points in their kitty are one win away from qualifying for the play-offs, Kolkata Knight Riders still have a monumental task to end up in the top four despite a hat-trick of wins in their recent league assignments.
Delhi Capitals come into the contest on the back of losing their last game to a resurgent Kings Eleven Punjab (KXIP) team. Meanwhile KKR dented their play-off qualification hopes a bit, suffering a massive defeat to RCB in their previous encounter.
Delhi Capitals Have More Balance And Depth In Their Squad
Delhi Capitals would be more than happy with the form of their batting mainstay Shikhar Dhawan who became the first player to strike back to back tons in the IPL. There is a concern over Dhawan's opening partner Prithvi Shaw's form as the Mumbaikar has failed to open his account twice in the last four innings.
Delhi will be more than happy having wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant back into the playing XI after he made a comeback from injury in the previous game against KXIP.
DC does pack a punch in their batting order with the likes of Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel all of whom can strike some lusty blows in the fag end of an innings.

The South African seam duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje will once again be their strike weapons with the new ball. Ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel are bound to resume spin duties for the Iyer-led side in conditions favorable to tweakers
Kolkata Knight Riders Need To Be More Consistent With Both Willow And White Cherry To Challenge A Formidable DC Outfit
Eoin Morgan-led KKR would look for a much better performance from their formidable batting order which would only muster up 84 runs against RCB.
With Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi getting good starts up the order, the middle order in Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik and Morgan will have to support the endeavors of the openers.
KKR would desperately want their hard hitting Windies all-rounder Andre Russell to provide the fireworks with the willow which have been missing all through the season
New Zealand tearaway speedster Lockie Ferguson has added meat to the KKR seam bowling unit with some fiery spells in the last two encounters. Ferguson will need support from Australian seamer Pat Cummins and one of either Shivam Mavi or Prasidh Krishna to make the breakthrough for the Knights against a formidable Delhi batting order.
Left arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy be the spin twins for the Purple Brigade on a deck that has assisted the spinners in the recent past.
