Chennai Super Kings (CSK)  skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni scaled yet another notable milestone in his stellar Indian Premier League career as he become the only the second wicket keeper to take 100 catches in the cash rich T20 league during the IPL 2020 clash between CSK and KXIP played in Dubai on Monday (October 4).

MS Dhoni became only the second wicket-keeper after KKR captain Dinesh Karthik to complete 100 catches in the IPL. Dinesh Karthik has the proud distinction of being the first wicketkeeper to effect 100 dismissals in the Indian Premier League during his stint with Gujarat Lions in IPL 2017.

Dhoni achieved the 100-catch landmark as a wicket-keeper when he dived full length to take a sharp catch off the bowling off CSK seamer Shardul Thakur to dismiss KXIP skipper KL Rahul.

An IPL veteran of record 195 appearances, Dhoni also stands atop the list of wicketkeepers with most dismissals in the IPL. The CSK skipper holds the number one spot with 139 dismissals while KKR skipper Karthik has 6 less.

Earlier on Friday, CSK skipper MS Dhoni also went past his team mate Suresh Raina's record for being the most capped player in the history of the Indian Premier League when he led his team against against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
