Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an engrossing  IPL clash later in the evening at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru with an aim to get onto the points tally.

RCB who are languishing at the bottom of the table after losing their first four games are desperate for a win. On the contrary, their opponents KKR are well placed in the points table after winning two of their three games. The only loss KKR suffered was at the hands of DC, where they lost in  a nail biting Super Over.

RCB, who do not boast of a very good record against the Knight Riders both overall and at home would look to improve their track record against their opponent. KKR has had the better of RCB in their recent engagements winning the last four games against them. The Kohli led red brigade do not  fare very well when then take on the Purple brigade on their home turf. KKR has the edge against RCB winning 6 out of the 10 games between the two sides at Bengaluru.

With records being broken in every match, there are a couple of milestones which can be achieved by some notable players in today's clash. Here is a look at the same

  1. With 7,983 runs, Virat Kohli is just 17 runs away to become the second Indian cricketer to complete 8,000 T20 runs. Suresh Raina was the first Indian batsman to scale the milestone

2. AB de Villiers (3,406 runs) is only 15 runs away to become the second most T20 run-scorer for RCB. Their former cricketer Chris Gayle (3,420 runs) is currently the second most T20 run-scorer for this franchise.

3. Robin Uthappa (2,480 runs) is 20 runs away from  completing 2,500 T20 runs for KKR. He will be the second cricketer to score 2,500 or more T20 runs for this franchise.

4. Chris Lynn (906 runs) needs 94 runs more to complete his 1,000 T20 runs for KKR.

5. Yuzvendra Chahal is the purple cap holder with 8 wickets in his kitty. The ace off-spinner has a chance of adding to his rich haul of wickets and cementing his position as the Purple Cap holder.
