The pitch in Mohali has generally been a good one and has a nice sprinkling of grass across the surface which does facilitate a little bit of pace and bounce. Capitals have one of the quickest bowlers in the tournament ‘Kagiso Rabada’.

With Rabada's yorker being the talk of the town, it will be interesting to see how the Delhi Capitals pacer counters the hard-hitting Kings XI Punjab batsmen when the two teams clash in an IPL match at Mohali today.

Both sides are riding high on confidence having won their respective matches on Saturday. Moreover, Ashwin-led KXIP have the advantage of playing at home and they will look to exploit familiar conditions once again.

Coming to the toss, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field against Punjab at Mohali. Iyer revealed that Delhi has one change for the game as Avesh Khan comes in for veteran Amit Mishra. While Punjab’s team decided to rest its star hitter Chris Gayle and fast bowler Andrew Tye as Mujeeb and Sam Curran comes back in the playing XI.

“The game (super over) went too far that night, but the guys are very excited after winning that game. We are going to bowl first. It was a good wicket to bat on, and the boys are energetic. Rabada being the leader of the attack, and bowling that super over was fantastic.” said Iyer.

After losing the toss, Ashwin said that Punjab has played in this venue before and that may gave them a slight advantage as they know that the small things matter big.

“It's about getting used to a particular ground, like the wind direction etc. If you've played in a venue before you know that the small things matter big.” said Ashwin.
