The Chennai Super Kings continued their good performance in the Indian Premier League notching up their fifth win by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk stadium in yesterday's IPL clash between the table toppers. CSK's clinical win was built around some exceptional bowling by their seamer Deepak Chahar and the spinners who cast a web around the 'Purple brigade'.

It took nearly 10 years to break this record. The 26-year-old came back to bowl the penultimate over of the game with Andre Russell on the strike. He did exceedingly well as he gave away just one six and got five blocks.

The pacer made the initial break through by dismissing hard hitting Chris Lynn opener. Nitish Rana then gifted away his wicket to Chahar by playing a rather poor shot. Chahar then accounted for KKR's ever dependable batsman Robin Uthappa . The strikes left KKR reeling at , a big hole from which they could never recover.
