Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner who ended his IPL campaign on a high note with a scintillating fifty for the Sunrisers Hyderabad against KXIP in Hyderabad, scripted yet another batting record in the league.


The belligerent Aussie opener who registered his eighth IPL fifty this season, brought up his eighth consecutive fifty-plus score against the Punjab-based franchise.

Warner now has most 50-plus scores against a team in IPL history surpassing his previous record of seven against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He held the record for the most consecutive fifty plus scores with 7 half centuries against Royal Challengers Bangalore

In his last game for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, Warner scored a power-packed 81 runs off 56 deliveries glazed with seven boundaries and two sixes before being dismissed by Ashwin. En route, he surpassed Chris Gayle to become the leading run scorer against KXIP in IPL - 819 runs in 17 innings with 10 fifties. With his knock on Monday, he ended his IPL 2019 campaign with 692 runs in 12 innings at 69.20 with eight fifties and one century.
