Mumbai Indians (MI) became the first team of Indian Premier League (IPL) to win the title four times. After having an extremely rough season last year, they came back extraordinarily strong this year and snatched the trophy from the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday at Hyderabad.
While cashing a modest 150-run total, CSK fell 2 runs short as Malinga trapped Shardul Thakur in the front off the last ball, clinching a 1-run victory in a low-score affair.
Besides Mumbai’s thrilling victory over Chennai, a plethora of awards were awarded before Rohit Sharma & Co lifted the trophy.
