On a day when Rajasthan Royals batsmen were having an off day, Delhi Capitals 17-year-old Riyan Parag became the youngest batsman in Indian Premier League's (IPL) history to score a half-century. Parag attained this milestone during the IPL clash between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at Kotla.

Earlier, Sanju Samson had achieved the same feat when he was 18-years-old and he too played for Rajasthan Royals. Riyan Parag has scored 160 runs at an average of 32 in seven IPL matches this season.

"The kid learns really quickly and that is sign of a really good player and someone who has a great future," Steve Smith had once said about Riyan Parag.

However, another Pant slog at Kotla powered Delhi Capitals to a five-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. While Delhi make it to the top two, Rajasthan get knocked out, officially.

Rajasthan Royals' hope of making it to the play-off hopes have been crushed as they are out of the tournament, finishing with just 11 points from 14 games.
