India Women Vs South Africa Women 3rd ODI: India Women defeated South Africa Women by 6 wickets in the third and final ODI of the three-match ODI series to complete a historic whitewash over the Proteas Women, as Harmanpreet Kaur's side were simply ruthless and a class-apart from the visitors.

With the ODI series wrapped up, India Women will now be focusing upon the one-off Test match against South Africa Women in Chennai on June 28.

Electing to bat first, the visitors were off to a flier, as captain Laura Woolvardt and Tazmin Brits registered a triple-figure opening stand. What folllowed later was mayhem from India Women bolwers as South Africa Women's batting only went downwards and from 102/0, they went to 215/8 in their 50 overs.

In reply, India Women never showed signs of slowing down, as Smriti Mandhana guided the hosts' innings smoothly but unfortunately missed out on personal milestone and history, as she failed to score a hat-trick of centuries by getting dismissed on the individual score of 90 off 83.

Richa Ghosh sealed it with a six, as India Women chased down the target of 216 inside 41 overs and completed a whitewash of the ODI series.

Here's What 'Man Of The Series' Smriti Mandhana Said During Post Match Presentation Ceremony:

"Unfortunate, I was batting better than the last two matches but I think those shots come off sometimes and you have to back yourself. The bowlers bowled really well to keep them down to that total. After that it was just about applying ourselves with the bat. We have a big series coming, the Tests and T20ls. Kapp and Laura had a good series with the bat as well," said Mandhana.

"We have Asia Cup and then the World Cup. The preparations will keep happening. The coach held a few camps and worked really hard with every player and it paid off. I don't think I will get an over after today. It is good to have an additional skill to offer to the team. If it comes off, it feels good," she added.
