India Vs Zimbabwe T20I Series: Zimbabwe Cricket have named Sikander Raza as the captain of the side for the upcoming five-match T20I series against India. Zimbabwe will be hosting the newly-crowned T20 World champions, as the hosts will be aimimg to get their cricket back on track after suffering major heart-breaks in the last 12 months.

Zimbabwe failed to progress into the ODI World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024 after falling short in the qualifiers for both the events, and the Sikandar Raza-led side will be aiming to get back to their early-2023 form.

Will Antum Naqvi Play Against India?


Antum Naqvi is amongst the fresh faces featuring in the series against India but whether the player will play or not is a subject of concern. Antum Naqvi is yet to officially become a citizen of Zimbabwe. Though he has applied for the country's citizenship, but until the confirmation comes in, he will not be able to feature in the T20I series.


Antum Naqvi was born to Pakistani-origin parents in Brussels, Belgium, and later moved to Australia. The 25-year old is a right-arm off spinner and a right-handed batsman and carries a reputation of a formidable batting all-rounder.


So far in his 7 T20 matches, he has managed to score 138 runs, at a good strike rate of 146.8 and in the same number of matches, he has affected 9 dismissals, which includes one 4-wicket haul.
