Lots to look forward to on this tour.
Background
IND vs ZIM 1st T20I Live: The five-match T20 International series between India and Zimbabwe begins today, Saturday (June 6) in Harare. With Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rohit Sharma no longer part of India's T20I setup, Shubman Gill has been given the task of leading an entirely different unit. This second-string Indian team includes many new faces, aiming to identify and nurture the rising T20 stars who could potentially replace the legendary trio of Virat, Rohit and Jadeja in the XI.
India are the clear favorites, but Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe cannot be underestimated, especially with the advantage of playing on their home turf. Similar to India, Zimbabwe will be using this series to scout for future stars.
The Harare Sports Club pitch offers an excellent surface for some great cricketing action. The wicket here in Harare provides support to both bowlers and batsmen. The hard surface and high bounce benefit batsmen, allowing the ball to come onto the bat nicely. Pacers are effective with the new ball in the initial overs. Spinners will find some help from the pitch during the middle overs and are expected to be more effective than pacers here.
The highest score at Harare Sports Club stadium stands at 229/6, achieved by Australia against Zimbabwe. Aaron Finch, with 172 runs, and D'Arcy Short, contributing 46 runs, played outstanding innings as openers.
The live telecast of India vs Zimbabwe T20I series will be available on the Sony Sports Network in India. India vs Zimbabwe T20I series live streaming in India will be availble on SonyLIV app and website. IND vs ZIM 5-match T20I series will be played from July 6 to July 14.
