India's win over West Indies was the 296th time in Virat Kohli's career when he was part of a match that India won, making him the second Indian player to have appeared in most wins for team India across formats.

Virat leapfrogged two-time World Cup winner MS Dhoni in this list. The CSK legend appeared in 295 wins for the Indian cricket team. Also, Virat Kohli is closing in on 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar's record. Sachin holds the record for maximum appearances in most wins for team India across formats. He had taken part in 307 matches that India won.

Virat Kohli has so far played 499 matches in his international career. When he takes the field for IND vs WI 2nd Test, it will be his 500th international match. Kohli's international career so far has been very spectacular. He is second on the list of batters to score maximum centuries in international cricket.


India vs West Indies 2nd Test will be played from 20th July onwards at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Kohli played a gritty innings in the first Test as he scored 76 runs in 182 balls with help of 5 fours. Kohli is also the first player to have played more than 100 matches for India across all formats (Tests, ODIs and T20Is). Virat Kohli will be the 10th player to play 500 matches in international career.
