The result or outcome of the ongoing India vs West Indies T20 International series holds great importance, especially for young players auditioning for upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2023 in Unites States and Caribbean, next year. So far, the only positive for India in the T20 series has been rise of debutants Mukesh Kumar and Tilak Yadav. Young but experineced batters, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill were dismissed for single-digit scores in 1st T20I vs Windies. Suryakumar Yadav, captain Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, and Axar Patel will also look for an improved show after they failed to chase 150.
