Background
India Vs England LIVE: Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the India Vs England T20 World Cup 2024 Semi Final, as the blockbuster fixture takes place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The fixture promises to be a great one, as both the sides are coming off a great momentum into this fixture.
India have been unbeaten in this year's T20 World Cup, as they have dominated the likes of Ireland, Pakistan, USA, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Australia on their way to the semi-finals, and will be aiming to become the first side in the history to qualify for the final of the ICC event across all formats in succession.
Australia would have become the first side to acheive the feat had they qualified for the knockout stages but India prevented them from doing so and it will be much pleasing for the 'Men In Blue' to get rid of the Kangaroos from the tournament, as they stood as the only side that India failed to get rid of in the World Test Championship final 2023 and the ODI World Cup final 2023.
England, on the other hand, started the tournament by putting their foot on the wrong pedal, as their game against Scotland got washed out, and followed it up by losing comprehensively to Australia. Even in the Super 8, South Africa managed to defend off a decent toal against the reigning T20 World champions, and the Jos Buttler-led side will be under immense pressure.
