IND vs ENG 2nd Test: India registered a stunning 151-run victory over England on the final day of the second Test match at Lord's Cricket Ground on Monday. Captain Virat Kohli termed the victory as historic and said the tension between the two teams on the field motivated the Indian team to win the match.

After the match, captain Virat Kohli said, "I am very proud of my team. The pitch did not help us much during the first three days. Batting on the first day was very challenging. However, the way we did under pressure in the second innings was amazing. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami batted brilliantly in the lower order."

At the same time, Indian skipper Virat Kohli also added, "Right from the beginning of the innings, we were sure that we would dismiss Team England within 60 overs. The tension on the field during our batting in the second innings inspired us to win."

Bumrah & Shami's Innings

Kohli praised Bumrah and Shami by saying, "Bumrah and Shami batted wonderfully in the lower order. Our test cricket history has it, that we have always won matches when our lower order has contributed massively to strengthen our innings. At some point during the home series, our lower-order batsmen were not able to contribute much. However, they are now working hard on it along with the coaching staff."

"Our fast bowlers got us off to a great start in the fourth innings of England. Siraj was playing his first match at Lord's and he bowled wonderfully," Kohli added.

Independence Day Gift

"The kind of support we get, especially on foreign tours, definitely boosts our morale. Today's victory has come a day after the country's Independence Day and it is the most wonderful gift we can give our country. We also aim to perform spectacularly in the future," Kohli said.
